I'd prefer not to see stuff like that especially if you're displaying Australian Media from a Non_australian sorce. In other words if you're anything but Aus you dont reserve the rights to use it. (IMO)

Novelty names are great, seriously, I love my monks name(Wtf Is A Fifty Five), since it fit well when I made it(600/smite was becoming "mainstream").

Just like nearly everyone else in this thread, names that are along the lines of X MISSPELLED NAME X, I feel are Über-fail.

I generally don't care what name a person may use. My biggest peeve is with people who can't spell simple words. For example:'THE'. Too often I see 'Teh Bad Dude' or whatever. Simply perplexing.....

Sometimes when I see them I think of copyright lawsuit issues, even though it won't happen unless there's a big snitch in the game. The names are just cliches; overly used words and phrases that are worn out after a period of time. They sort of annoy me, but just a bit. Fortunately for me I haven't seen much of those at all. Most of the names I saw were completely original. Novelty names are rare for me to come by, so I'm not really irritated about the names in the game.

Necro: Slave To The Rave (Music Related)
PvP Monk: Broodje Kroket Monk (Dutch food+monk)
PvP Ele: Broodje Kroket Met (Dutch food)
PvP Warrior: Simon Sez Disco (His hair is exactly the same as Simon from Demolition Man, and Disco is because his armour is in ridicoulous Disco Colours)
General PvP Char: Maximum Raver (My DJ Name, without the space though)
Ranger: Enile Forest (Made for my by one of my friends)

Death (la mort) is feminine in French.

honestly, what does it matter what someone else chooses to call their character, and why would it seem that they would be less serious about a character with a novelty name than not? :S

doesn't bother me in the slightest. personally, i have a great time sitting in ToA, while waiting for the alliance group to get ready for UW or Fow, checking out peoples' character names and having a good laugh at the novelty ones.
